Paris / Versailles (115 photos)
Versailles. ‘Nuf said.
I’m getting better with photography and editing. Probably my proudest picture yet is the one above.
Paris / Puppet Show (62 photos)
I was invited to a Puppet show my second day in Paris by my hosts. I didn’t understand a word, but laughed the whole way.
London / Notting Hill / Westminster Abbey (75 photos)
Visited Notting Hill with Guillemette — a friend I met in New York almost five years ago — and her friend. This album includes many pictures of Londonites and tourists because I was in very highly trafficked areas (and in my opinion, people make the most interesting pictures anyway). Also includes some of Westminster Abbey.
London / Big Ben / Buckingham Palace (75 photos)
Touring around the city, on foot. This is what I found.
London / Camden Town Markets (36 photos)
The first day I arrived in London. The apartment I’m staying is right outside of these markets in Camden Town. Very, very cool.
Glendalough / Wicklow Mountains / Ireland (36 photos)
The Wicklow Mountains is an area south of Dublin with beautiful views, and in the summer time, is covered in purple shrubbery. The main image above is a picture of Guinness Lake and the Guinness Estate - the lake is so named because its color resembles a spilt pint of Guinness. Glendalough is an old monastery and graveyard, once very prominent, but has since been ransacked by the English.
Dublin / Botanical Gardens (43 photos)
A walk through the Dublin Botanical Gardens, and a bit of Dublin. Beautiful, and lots of exotic plants and art.
Dublin / Jameson Distillery (37 photos)
Dublin on foot and a tour of the Jameson Distillery. Not as great at the Guinness Storehouse, but still a good time.
Dublin / Guinness Storehouse (80 photos)
Touring parts of Dublin on foot and the Guinness Storehouse. The storehouse ended with an invitation to the Guinness Connoisseur Bar, a pilot program they were testing that sat me down for an hour and showed me the culture and history of the world’s greatest beer (with about four free pints to boot!). Amazing tour. Highly recommended.
Connemara / Ireland (52 photos)
This was my second tour in Ireland, the day after the Cliffs of Moher. Connemara is an area on the East side of Ireland that has beautiful landscape and traditional Irish villages. On this tour we saw Kylemore Abbey, which is a castle, cathedral and garden in the heart of Connemara.
